A highly regarded law firm is seeking a Paralegal to join its growing Clinical Negligence team. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a specialist department handling high-quality, complex work, with exposure to a wide range of claimant matters.

The Role:
You will support experienced lawyers on a varied caseload of clinical negligence matters, including complex and high-value claims. The role offers hands-on experience and the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility as your experience develops.
Key responsibilities include:
- Liaising with clients, experts, barristers, insurers, and third parties
- Handling client enquiries via telephone and email
- Opening, closing, and maintaining client files using case management systems
- Assisting with diary management, appointments, and arranging meetings/conferences
- Coordinating with internal teams, including accounts, regarding payments and invoices
- Obtaining and reviewing medical records
- Preparing chronologies and organising case documentation
- Supporting document production and maintaining case management systems and spreadsheets
As you progress, you may also:
- Assist with reviewing expert reports
- Draft witness statements and legal documents
- Support preparation for hearings
- Attend and observe meetings with counsel, experts, and clients
Candidate Requirements:
- Previous legal experience, ideally within litigation (clinical negligence experience beneficial but not essential)
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confident communicator with a professional and client-focused approach
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Proactive, adaptable, and willing to learn
- Good IT skills and experience using case management systems
Qualifications & Experience:
- A degree or equivalent is desirable but not essential
- Prior legal work experience is required
- Demonstrable interest in litigation or claimant work
