In 2007 we noticed a gap in the market, there was no specialist legal recruiter based in the Southwest recruiting on behalf of Law Firms in the Southwest. Through research we established there was a need for such a service and Legal Southwest was formed. Having been established for over 10 years we have recruited over 500 legal staff for law firms throughout Devon, Cornwall & Somerset.
We attribute our success to working ethically and fairly, placing the emphasis on what is best for both client and candidate. We believe that we offer an unrivalled recruitment service and as such, have built and maintained excellent relationships with the majority of Law Firms based in the Southwest.

I have worked within the recruitment sector for most of my career, Sarah started up Legal Southwest in 2007 and after working with Sarah previously and remaining good friends we decided to join forces nearly 10 Years ago.
I would describe myself as a professional individual with a passion for recruitment, I enjoy matching candidates and clients and using my communication skills to make it all happen smoothly.
With 10 years’ experience within Legal Recruitment, Sarah and I have built exceptional client relationships, knowing clients on a professional and personal level, and understanding their individual requirements and matching this with candidate’s career expectations and requirements.
When not working I enjoy spending time with my family, horse riding, paddle boarding and cycling.
I founded Legal Southwest in 2007 having identified a gap in the market for legal recruiters in the Southwest and I have not looked back since.
I am exceptionally proud of the organic growth of Legal Southwest since 2007, I attribute the success of our business to providing the highest level of client care to every individual that we have the pleasure of dealing with and the fact that Michala and I personally deal with all recruitment ourselves. Therefore, our clients and candidates benefit from the extensive experience and relationships we have built up over the years.
Like many others I juggle my professional life with family life although it is the priority of Legal Southwest to ensure as Directors we also take great care of our mental wellbeing and ensure our work/life balance is how it should be.
