A well-established and respected law firm in Plymouth is seeking a Family Paralegal to join its friendly and supportive Family Law team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with family law experience who is looking to further develop their legal career within a busy and professional environment. You will work closely with experienced fee earners, providing support across a broad range of family law matters while delivering exceptional client service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaising with clients, solicitors, counsel, courts and other professionals via telephone, email and in person.
- Drafting and preparing legal documents, correspondence, attendance notes and witness statements.
- Assisting with the preparation of court bundles and disclosure documentation.
- Reviewing and drafting court documents and other case-related paperwork.
- Filing and submitting documents with the courts.
- Supporting fee earners with case management and administrative tasks.
- Maintaining accurate client files, diary management and file administration.
- Assisting with basic financial administration, including invoice preparation and expense tracking.
- Opening and closing client files and undertaking general office administration.
About You:
The successful candidate will ideally have at least one year’s experience within Family Law and be able to demonstrate:
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
- A professional and client-focused approach.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
