An excellent opportunity has arisen for a motivated and organised Paralegal to join a busy and well-regarded Family Law team based in Tiverton. This is a full-time, office-based position offering hands-on experience and strong career development prospects within family law.
The team handles a broad range of matters including divorce, separation, children issues, domestic abuse and financial matters arising from relationship breakdown. You will be joining a collaborative and supportive environment focused on delivering high-quality service to clients.
The Role:
The successful candidate will provide support to fee earners while assisting with the smooth day-to-day running of the department. Responsibilities will include:
- Assisting lawyers with case preparation and ongoing matter management
- Drafting correspondence and legal documents
- Liaising with clients, courts and third parties
- Managing files and maintaining accurate records
- Supporting billing processes and general administrative tasks
- Providing wider administrative support to the team as required
The Candidate:
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Able to manage a varied workload and prioritise effectively
- Confident IT and typing skills
- Proactive, flexible and team-oriented approach
- A genuine interest in family law
Previous experience in a legal or administrative role would be beneficial but is not essential, as training and ongoing support will be provided.
