A well-established and highly regarded law firm is seeking a Court of Protection Paralegal to join its specialist team. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and client-focused individual to support experienced Court of Protection Lawyers in delivering high-quality legal services to vulnerable clients and their families.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day management of Court of Protection matters, ensuring work is progressed efficiently, compliantly, and to an exceptional standard of client care.
The Role:
Working closely with Lawyers and fellow Paralegals, responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the conduct of files and assisting with the day-to-day management of cases.
- Handling client, deputy and third-party stakeholder queries and correspondence, ensuring matters are progressed proactively and professionally.
- Attending client and deputy meetings and producing accurate, comprehensive attendance notes.
- Liaising with clients, professionals and external agencies via telephone and email.
- Managing diaries, key dates, deadlines and reminders.
- Drafting court documentation, benefit applications and other formal applications as required.
- Preparing financial elements of annual reports for submission to the Office of the Public Guardian (OPG).
- Arranging property-related matters, including liaising with tradespeople, obtaining quotes and attending property visits where necessary.
- Reviewing, organising and collating documentation.
- Managing personal workload effectively and prioritising competing tasks.
- Maintaining accurate, compliant electronic files in line with regulatory requirements.

- The resilience to manage a varied workload within a busy legal environment.
Experience & Development:
Candidates will ideally have previous exposure to Court of Protection or private client work within a legal setting. A strong academic background and demonstrable credibility within the specialism will be highly regarded.
