Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a Family Paralegal to join their highly regarded Private Family team based in Exeter.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious legal professional to gain hands-on experience within a busy and supportive team undertaking a broad range of private family matters, including divorce, separation, children and financial remedy work.
The Role
Working closely with experienced family lawyers, you will provide essential support across a varied caseload and be involved in:
- Assisting fee earners with the management of private family matters
- Preparing court bundles and legal documentation
- Attending court where required
- File management and administration
- Audio and copy typing
- Managing client enquiries by telephone and email
- Supporting the team to ensure the highest standards of client care
This is a fast-paced and client-focused position offering excellent exposure to high-quality family law work.
About You
Applications are welcomed from candidates who have previous experience working within a legal environment and are keen to further develop their legal career.
You will possess:
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
- Excellent communication and client care skills
- Strong IT skills, including experience preparing document bundles
- Experience using case management systems such as SOS or similar (desirable)
- Previous family law experience (advantageous but not essential)
- A proactive and flexible approach to your work
- The ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team

Hybrid Working
Hybrid working arrangements are available. However, as this is a collaborative team environment, the successful candidate will be required to attend the Exeter office as necessary to meet the needs of the team, clients and the role.
