Launch Your Litigation Career with a Leading Disputes Team
Are you looking to develop your legal career within a highly regarded Litigation team, gaining exposure to a broad range of complex and interesting disputes?
Our client is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join their expanding team in Exeter. Acting for businesses, charities, housing associations and high-net-worth individuals across the UK, the team handles a diverse range of contentious matters and regularly represents clients in courts throughout England and Wales.
This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced litigators, gain hands-on experience across a variety of dispute resolution matters, and play a key role in supporting cases from inception through to conclusion.
The Role
You will assist the team across a broad spectrum of litigation matters, including:
- Contentious Trusts and Probate disputes
- Intellectual Property disputes
- Data Protection matters
- Commercial and business disputes
- Breach of contract claims
- General civil litigation matters
This is a varied and client-facing role offering genuine responsibility and excellent exposure to high-quality legal work.
Key Responsibilities
- Handling initial client enquiries and onboarding new clients
- Managing client communications and correspondence
- Assisting with pre-action protocols and legal documentation
- Taking witness statements and proofs of evidence
- Preparing court bundles and case documentation
- Monitoring deadlines and assisting with case management
- Undertaking legal research
- Supporting the preparation of articles, legal insights and marketing materials
- Providing general support to the firm’s lawyers
You will also have the opportunity to attend client meetings, observe court hearings in both the County Court and High Court, and become actively involved in matters throughout the litigation process.
About You
We welcome applications from candidates with a genuine interest in Litigation and Dispute Resolution. Previous legal experience is beneficial, but attitude, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are equally important.

Working Environment
The team operates a hybrid working model, combining office and home working, and places a strong emphasis on collaboration, training and professional development. Initially, you will be based in the Exeter office to help you settle into the team, gain exposure to the firm’s work and access the support available.
Flexible working arrangements will be considered following the initial onboarding period.
