We are seeking a Property Paralegal or qualified Fee Earner for an immediate short-term opportunity within an Estates Advisory team based in Newton St Loe, near Bath.
The team works closely with rural surveyors and is responsible for residential and agricultural property sales. Due to an increase in the number of properties being prepared for sale, coupled with an existing team member’s departure, additional legal support is required for approximately three months.
The successful candidate will report to the Head of Estate Advisory and work alongside a qualified solicitor and experienced rural property professionals. An overlap with the departing team member is planned, so applicants should ideally be available to start by mid-September.

The position will involve supporting a range of residential and agricultural property transactions, including:
- Reviewing lease agreements and other property documentation.
- Assisting with residential and rural property sales.
- Completing transaction-related forms and supporting documentation.
- Undertaking mapping and planning work.
- Supporting the preparation of properties for sale.
- Liaising with surveyors, solicitors and other parties involved in transactions.
- Providing general legal and administrative support throughout the transaction process.
- Working from the client side of transactions and corresponding with external solicitors.
The successful candidate
Applications are welcomed from experienced Property Paralegals as well as qualified Solicitors, Legal Executives or other property Fee Earners.
You should possess:
- Experience of residential, agricultural or rural property transactions.
- The ability to review and understand leases and other legal documents.
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Confidence completing forms and preparing transaction documentation.
- The ability to work effectively with surveyors and other property professionals.
- A proactive approach and the ability to become productive quickly.
This is a full-time, office-based position and therefore would suit someone who can commute reliably to Newton St Loe. The salary will reflect the successful candidate’s qualifications and level of experience.
