Location: The role can be based at any of the firm’s offices in Brixham, Axminster, Seaton, Sidmouth, Exmouth, Honiton, Paignton, Launceston, Bovey Tracey, Torquay, Newton Abbot or Exeter. Regular travel between offices will be required.

We are working with a leading Southwest law firm that is looking to recruit an experienced Technology Trainer.
This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of technology within a progressive regional practice. Working closely with the firm’s Technology Strategy Group, IT team and colleagues across the business, you will play a central role in improving digital capability, supporting innovation and helping employees embrace technology that enhances client service and operational efficiency.
As the firm continues its digital transformation, including the adoption of artificial intelligence and future practice management system developments, this role offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact across the organisation.
The role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing and delivering structured technology training programmes.
- Providing classroom-based, remote and one-to-one training.
- Adapting training to suit different learning styles and levels of technical ability.
- Producing user guides, videos, quick-reference guides and other training resources.
- Supporting digital transformation, technology adoption and change management projects.
- Assisting with the implementation and adoption of new technology and digital initiatives.
- Delivering training on Microsoft 365 applications, particularly Teams, Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Helping colleagues understand the practical business applications of artificial intelligence.
- Delivering cybersecurity and phishing awareness training.
- Providing ongoing coaching and support to colleagues across the firm.
The successful candidate
You will have previous experience designing and delivering technology training to users with varying levels of technical ability.
You should also possess:
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft 365, particularly Teams, Outlook, Word and Excel.
- The ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
- Excellent communication, presentation and written skills.
- Strong organisational and planning abilities, with the capacity to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent coaching, mentoring and interpersonal skills.
- Confidence when presenting to groups.
- A friendly, approachable and patient manner.
- Strong problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail.
- A genuine enthusiasm for technology and continuous learning.
- The ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels.
- A proactive, adaptable and self-motivated approach.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle suitable for regular business travel.
You must be willing and able to travel regularly between the firm’s offices. Some occasional work outside normal office hours may also be required.
Desirable experience
The following would be advantageous but is not essential:
- Experience working within a law firm or professional services environment.
- An understanding of legal workflows.
- Knowledge of the SOS Practice Management System.
- Experience using legal technology platforms such as InfoTrack, Egress or legal AI solutions.
- Experience supporting digital transformation or change management initiatives.
- Microsoft or other recognised technology qualifications.
- Training or teaching qualifications.
