We are delighted to be recruiting for a Director of Finance on behalf of a well-established and highly regarded law firm with a strong presence across Devon.
With a long-standing history and multiple offices across the region, the firm has built an excellent reputation for its approachable, client-focused service, supporting both private and commercial clients. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a progressive organisation at a senior level, playing a key role in shaping its financial strategy and supporting its continued growth.
The Role
Working closely with senior leadership, you will take responsibility for both the strategic direction and operational management of the finance function. This is a hands-on leadership role, requiring someone who is equally comfortable delivering strategy as they are improving processes at a granular level.
You will play a central role in:
- Leading and developing the finance function
- Driving improvements in systems, controls, and procedures
- Strengthening financial performance and supporting business growth
- Providing commercial insight to senior stakeholders
- Ensuring compliance with all regulatory and financial requirements
About You
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Proven experience within the legal sector
- Strong strategic and commercial mindset, combined with a hands-on approach
- Experience of implementing change and improving financial processes
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence at senior level
- Energetic, driven, and solutions-focused
