An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Solicitor or FCILEX professional to join a highly regarded Construction team within a leading Southwest law firm.
This role offers the chance to work alongside experienced specialists on a broad range of construction matters, gaining exposure to high-quality work and a diverse client base from the outset. The Role:
The successful candidate will work on a mix of contentious and non-contentious construction matters, supporting clients across a variety of sectors including housing, development, construction and consultancy.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating construction contracts and related documentation
- Advising on non-contentious construction matters, including procurement and risk management
- Assisting with contentious matters, including adjudications and construction disputes
- Supporting a broad client base including developers, contractors, consultants and housing providers
- Managing a caseload with appropriate supervision and support
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
About You:
Applications are welcomed from Solicitors or FCILEX professionals with up to 3 years’ PQE who can demonstrate:
- Previous exposure to construction law, either through training or post-qualification experience
- A genuine interest in developing a career within construction and infrastructure law
- Strong drafting, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organisational and file management abilities
- Attention to detail and commercial awareness
- A collaborative approach and strong interpersonal skills
