A well-established and highly regarded regional law firm is entering an exciting period of growth and is seeking a Senior Employment Solicitor to play a key role in shaping and developing its employment law offering.
This is a strategic, senior-level position offering genuine autonomy and the opportunity to build and expand a practice area within a supportive and forward-thinking firm.
The Role:
As part of the firm’s wider Litigation team, the successful candidate will take a lead role in developing the employment department, managing a varied caseload, and driving business growth.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and developing the firm’s employment law service
- Managing a broad caseload of both contentious and non-contentious employment matters
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Driving business development initiatives and identifying new opportunities
- Collaborating with colleagues across multiple offices to support cross-referrals
- Contributing to the firm’s wider marketing and growth strategy
The Candidate:
The firm is looking to speak with candidates who can demonstrate:
- Qualification as a Solicitor with 5+ years’ PQE in employment law
- Strong technical expertise across a range of employment matters
- Confidence in business development and networking
- A proactive, commercial approach with a desire to grow a practice area
- The ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
A client following would be advantageous but is not essential.
Location & Working Pattern:
The role can be based at any of the firm’s offices across Devon and Somerset, with hybrid working available following an initial settling-in period. Some travel between offices will be required for client meetings and internal collaboration.
