The Opportunity:
A leading law firm with an outstanding reputation in the real estate market is seeking an Associate to join its highly regarded Residential Investment and Development team. The Role:
The successful candidate will work within the firm’s Investment and Development Practice, advising on a broad range of residential investment and development matters. The role will involve handling investment acquisitions, disposals, and asset management work, as well as advising on private residential development, local authority and registered provider housing schemes, estate regeneration, and joint venture projects.
You will support clients across both the private and public sectors, with a particular focus on investment, strategic land transactions, development projects, and large-scale regeneration schemes. The work will include undertaking due diligence on medium and large development and investment sites and assisting with the drafting and negotiation of acquisition and sale documentation for mixed-use and residential-led developments.
This position offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with other specialist teams, including Corporate, Banking & Finance, Litigation, Projects & Construction, Planning, and Environmental.
Key Responsibilities:
You will be involved in:

Advising on all property aspects of development and regeneration schemes.

Supporting developers, investors, social landlords, government bodies, local authorities, and private sector organisations on acquisitions, disposals, asset management, and joint venture projects.

Assisting with portfolio sales and acquisitions.

Providing support on real estate finance matters, including preparation of CLLS Certificates of Title and management of conditions precedent.

Managing files independently where appropriate, ensuring compliance with Lexcel and firm procedures.

Building and maintaining strong client relationships, with opportunities to develop new connections.

Participating in business development and marketing initiatives, including leading activities when suitable.

Contributing to departmental and firm-wide training and professional development programmes.
Candidate Requirements:
You will have:

Qualification as a Solicitor, with a completed training seat in Real Estate.

Strong technical ability and an innovative approach to problem-solving.

The confidence to take responsibility for matters and progress work independently.

A client-focused mindset and commitment to delivering exceptional service.

Drive, enthusiasm, and strong commercial awareness.

Flexibility, professionalism, and credibility when dealing with clients and colleagues.
