An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Solicitor or FCILEX professional with up to three years’ post-qualification experience to join a highly regarded Property Litigation team within a leading Southwest law firm to be based in the Exeter or Taunton office.
This role offers the opportunity to develop specialist expertise in property litigation, with a particular emphasis on social housing matters. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced lawyers on a broad range of interesting and challenging cases, whilst building strong technical skills and long-term client relationships.
The team acts for a diverse range of clients, including registered providers, local authorities and organisations operating within the housing sector. The work is varied, rewarding and often has a direct impact on local communities.
The Role:
The successful candidate will be involved in a broad range of property litigation and housing management matters, including:
- Managing a caseload with appropriate supervision and support
- Assisting senior lawyers on more complex and high-value disputes
- Advising clients on housing management issues and property-related disputes
- Drafting pleadings, witness statements, correspondence and other legal documentation
- Representing clients at court hearings, mediations and other dispute resolution forums where appropriate
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Contributing to business development and networking activities
About You:
Applications are welcomed from Solicitors or FCILEX professionals with:
- Up to 3 years’ PQE
- Experience of, or a strong interest in, Property Litigation and/or Social Housing law
- Excellent drafting, communication and organisational skills
- A proactive and commercially minded approach
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- A commitment to delivering practical, high-quality legal advice
