Our client is a highly regarded and award-winning law firm with an established presence across Devon. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an ambitious and commercially minded Litigation Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEX) with a minimum of 2 years’ PQE to join their specialist litigation team.
The Opportunity:
This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a supportive and collaborative team with extensive experience across a wide range of contentious matters. The successful candidate will work on cases from inception through to resolution, assisting clients in achieving practical and commercially focused outcomes.
You will gain exposure to a varied caseload, including matters before the High Court, County Courts, District Registries and Tribunals, while working alongside experienced litigators and advocates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a varied caseload of litigation and dispute resolution matters.
- Advising clients throughout the litigation process.
- Drafting legal documents, correspondence and court pleadings.
- Supporting clients through court proceedings and hearings where required.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Working closely with colleagues to deliver high-quality legal services.
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEX).
- Minimum of 2 years’ PQE in Litigation or Commercial Dispute Resolution.
- Experience handling a broad range of contentious matters, ideally including consumer-related disputes.
- Strong drafting, analytical and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and client care abilities.
- Commercially aware with a proactive and solutions-focused approach.
- Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
