A well-established and respected law firm based in Yeovil is seeking to recruit an experienced Litigation Solicitor with 3 years’ post-qualification experience or more to join its growing litigation team.
The Role:
The successful candidate will manage a varied and high-quality caseload of contentious matters, providing clear, practical advice to a diverse client base. The role offers a high degree of autonomy alongside the support of an experienced and collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handling a broad range of litigation matters, which may include:
- Civil and commercial disputes
- Contractual claims
- Property and landlord & tenant disputes
- Debt recovery
- Professional negligence claims
- Managing files from inception through to resolution, including court proceedings where necessary
- Drafting pleadings, correspondence, and legal documentation
- Conducting negotiations and alternative dispute resolution
- Attending hearings, mediations, and client meetings
- Maintaining a high standard of client care and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Contributing to business development and the firm’s profile within the local market
- Supervising and mentoring junior fee earners where appropriate
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor / Legal Executive
- Minimum of 3 years’ PQE in Litigation
- Strong technical knowledge of civil procedure and dispute resolution
- Ability to manage a caseload independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication, drafting, and organisational skills
- A commercially aware and client-focused approach
- Experience of business development or willingness to contribute to firm growth
