An excellent opportunity has arisen for an organised and proactive Legal Administrator to join a busy Investment Property team at a well-regarded law firm.
This role plays a key part in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the department, with a particular focus on client onboarding and post-completion processes, alongside providing wider administrative support to the team.
The successful candidate will be confident working independently, able to manage their workload effectively, and demonstrate strong attention to detail within a fast-paced legal environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Onboarding
- Managing the onboarding process for new matters within the team
- Requesting and reviewing client due diligence documentation in line with AML requirements
- Liaising with clients to obtain outstanding information in a timely and professional manner
- Ensuring all onboarding records are accurate and maintained in line with internal procedures
Post-Completion Support
- Handling post-completion formalities, including submissions and registrations
- Assisting with Land Registry and Companies House processes
- Monitoring deadlines and ensuring all matters are progressed through to completion
- Updating internal systems accordingly
Administrative & Team Support
- Providing administrative support to fee earners within the team
- Assisting with file management, document preparation, and correspondence
- Supporting with ad hoc tasks, particularly during busy periods
- Contributing to the efficient running of the wider team
Skills & Experience:
Essential
- Previous administrative experience, ideally within a legal or professional services environment
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
- High level of attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and case management systems
Desirable
- Experience with client onboarding and AML processes
- Exposure to post-completion work within property matters
- Experience supporting a busy legal team
