Our client is seeking an experienced HR Manager / Senior HR Advisor to join their HR team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified HR professional looking to play a key role in delivering a high-quality HR service within a professional and growing organisation.
Working closely with senior management, the successful candidate will provide practical and commercially focused HR support across the business, ensuring HR best practice and compliance while contributing to the organisation’s people strategy.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management and employee development.
- Providing professional HR advice and guidance to managers on employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance issues.
- Assisting with the development, implementation and review of HR policies and procedures in line with current employment legislation.
- Supporting employee engagement, wellbeing and retention initiatives.
- Assisting with compensation, benefits and reward processes.
- Preparing HR documentation and maintaining accurate employee records.
- Coordinating meetings, taking minutes where required and following up on agreed actions.
- Supporting internal HR communications and employee lifecycle administration.
- Producing HR reports and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Contributing to continuous improvement within the HR function.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in an HR Advisor, Senior HR Advisor or HR Manager position.
- A minimum of two years’ experience providing generalist HR support.
- CIPD Level 5 qualification (or working towards it) is desirable.
- Experience within a professional services environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the confidence to build relationships at all levels.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A proactive approach, sound judgement and excellent problem-solving abilities.
- High levels of discretion and the ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
