A well-regarded, boutique law firm in beautiful Cornwall is seeking a talented Family Solicitor with a minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience (PQE) to join their close-knit and highly respected team.
The firm is known for its strong reputation in family law, alongside expertise in conveyancing and private client work. With a forward-thinking and collaborative culture, the practice operates from a paperless office, utilising case management software and digital dictation, and offers flexible hybrid working options.
The Role:
The successful candidate will take over an existing caseload of private family law matters, which includes:
- Children Act proceedings
- Divorce and separation
- Financial remedy work
This role offers a rare opportunity to work autonomously while being part of a supportive and co-operative team. The firm conducts a significant proportion of its own advocacy, and the incoming solicitor will be encouraged to engage in court work as part of their professional development.
Key Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years PQE in family law
- Strong experience managing private family matters, including children and financial work
- Confident in handling a varied caseload independently
- Experience or a strong interest in undertaking advocacy
- Comfortable with digital working practices, including case management systems and dictation software
- A team-oriented mindset, with a willingness to work collaboratively in an open-plan environment
