Are you an experienced Family Solicitor looking for your next challenge in a highly respected legal setting? Our client, a well-regarded legal practice based in Midsomer Norton, is seeking a dedicated and commercially aware Family Solicitor to join their expanding team.
They are a friendly, client-focused firm that offers quality legal advice across a broad range of practice areas, including family law, residential conveyancing, wills and probate, personal injury and more. The firm is known locally for its personalised service, clear communication and commitment to achieving the best outcomes for clients.
Role Overview
As a Family Solicitor, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality legal support on a wide variety of private family law matters. Typical day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Providing advice and representation on divorce and separation matters

Handling disputes relating to children and parenting arrangements
-
Assisting with financial settlements and negotiations
-
Preparing and drafting court documentation and legal correspondence
-
Attending court hearings where required and advocating on behalf of clients
-
Building and maintaining strong client relationships through clear, supportive communication
You will work closely with other senior members of the family team to ensure cases are managed effectively and clients receive tailored legal solutions.
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will have:

Qualified Solicitor status with strong experience in family law

Excellent legal drafting, negotiation and advocacy skills

Confidence managing a varied caseload independently

A client-centred approach with strong interpersonal skills

The ability to work collaboratively within a team
