Our client, a well-established and highly regarded regional law firm is seeking an experienced Employment Lawyer to join its growing litigation team based in Exeter.
The firm has a strong reputation across Devon and Somerset, offering a full range of legal services to both businesses and individuals. Known for its professional yet personable approach, the firm places great emphasis on long-term client relationships, clear communication, and delivering high-quality legal advice.
The successful candidate will join a busy and well-established litigation team, working alongside experienced colleagues on a broad range of matters. As part of continued growth, the firm is looking to expand its employment law offering and is keen to appoint someone who can play a key role in this development.
Applicants should be a Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer with approximately 3–5 years’ PQE in employment law. More senior candidates will also be considered, particularly those with strong business development experience or an existing client following, or those interested in broadening their litigation expertise.
This is an excellent opportunity offering a high level of autonomy. You will manage your own caseload while also contributing to the growth of the employment practice. In the early stages, there will be a strong focus on business development, so candidates should be confident in building relationships and generating new work.
The role is primarily based in Exeter, with an expectation of office attendance for at least three days per week. Hybrid working is available following a successful probation period or once fully integrated into the team. There may be occasional travel to other offices for client meetings and marketing activities.
You will also be involved in wider marketing and business development initiatives, making this an ideal role for someone who enjoys a proactive, outward-facing position.
