A well-established and expanding law firm is seeking a Corporate & Commercial Solicitor to join its team. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Plymouth, with flexible hybrid working available.
The successful candidate will join a growing Corporate & Commercial department that advises a broad client base ranging from start-ups and SMEs to larger corporate organisations across multiple sectors. The team is recognised for delivering commercially focused, pragmatic advice that helps clients manage risk, safeguard their interests, and achieve sustainable growth.
The team’s expertise spans a wide range of corporate and commercial matters, including:

Business disposals, acquisitions and restructures

Drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and standard terms of business

Intellectual property matters, including licensing arrangements and software agreements

Supply, distribution and manufacturing agreements
-
Franchise, agency and consultancy contracts
-
Shareholder agreements, joint ventures and strategic partnerships
The Role:
This opportunity would suit a commercially astute Solicitor with solid experience advising business clients on a variety of commercial and corporate transactions. The role will involve managing a diverse caseload, including:

Advising on and supporting business sales and acquisitions, including drafting and negotiating transaction documentation

Preparing and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements

Providing advice on intellectual property rights and associated commercial risk

Supporting clients with day-to-day commercial and strategic legal matters
The successful candidate will be confident handling matters independently, building and maintaining strong client relationships, and contributing to the continued development of the team. There will also be opportunities to mentor junior colleagues and take an active role in business development initiatives.
