A well-established law firm in Taunton is seeking an experienced Conveyancing Solicitor to join its busy Residential Property team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated legal professional with at least three years’ experience managing their own residential conveyancing caseload. The successful candidate will join a supportive and collaborative team environment whilst enjoying a high degree of autonomy and responsibility.
The Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload of residential property transactions from initial instruction through to completion. They will provide a high-quality service to clients whilst supporting the continued growth and development of the department.
In addition to fee-earning responsibilities, the role will involve mentoring, training, and supervising junior members of the team, making it an ideal opportunity for someone looking to further develop their leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a varied residential conveyancing caseload with minimal supervision.
- Handling transactions including:
- Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
- Shared ownership transactions
- Help to Buy matters
- Unregistered title transactions
- Transfers of equity
- Remortgages
- Providing clear and practical legal advice to clients throughout the conveyancing process.
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders, developers, and other solicitors.
- Maintaining excellent levels of client care and communication.
- Ensuring files are progressed efficiently and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Mentoring, training, and supervising junior team members.
- Assisting with the development and growth of the Residential Property department.
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive, Licensed Conveyancer, or experienced Conveyancer.
- Minimum of three years’ experience managing a residential conveyancing caseload independently.
- Strong technical knowledge across a broad range of residential property matters.
- Excellent client care and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently whilst contributing positively to a team environment.
- Proven experience or a genuine interest in mentoring and supervising junior colleagues.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
