A reputable law firm based in Plymouth is seeking an experienced Compliance Solicitor to join its team on a six-month fixed term contract. The successful candidate will support the firm in ensuring regulatory compliance across all practice areas, with a particular focus on property-related matters.
The role requires a qualified solicitor with a minimum of three years’ post-qualification experience, specifically within property law. The appointed individual will oversee internal compliance processes, conduct file reviews, and provide ongoing guidance to fee-earners and support staff on regulatory obligations, risk management, and best practice procedures. They will also assist in reviewing and updating firm policies, maintaining adherence to the SRA Standards and Regulations, and ensuring that compliance frameworks remain robust and effective.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex compliance requirements clearly and confidently. They will be proactive, organised, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a professional environment.
