We are seeking an ambitious and motivated Commercial Property Solicitor to join our clients growing Property team. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a well-established and highly regarded firm, working with a diverse client base across Somerset and Devon.
The successful candidate can be based from Taunton, Exeter or Yeovil office, with flexibility to work across multiple locations where required. You will manage your own caseload of commercial property matters whilst working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver exceptional client service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a varied caseload of commercial property transactions from instruction through to completion.
- Advising clients on acquisitions and disposals of commercial property.
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial leases and lease renewals.
- Acting for landlords, tenants, developers, investors and business owners.
- Handling property finance and secured lending transactions.
- Assisting with development projects and site acquisitions.
- Conducting due diligence, title investigations and property searches.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and new clients.
- Participating in business development and networking activities.
- Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team where appropriate.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and firm procedures.
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive.
- Demonstrable experience managing a commercial property caseload.
- Strong technical knowledge of commercial property law and practice.
- Excellent client care and communication skills.
- Commercially aware with a proactive approach to business development.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively to deadlines.
- Strong drafting, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
