An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Employment Solicitor or FCILEX professional with between 2 and 6 years’ PQE to join a highly regarded Employment team within a leading Southwest law firm.
This role offers the opportunity to work on a varied and high-quality caseload, advising a broad range of employer clients on both contentious and non-contentious employment matters. The successful candidate will enjoy a combination of Employment Tribunal work, strategic HR advisory matters and support on corporate transactions.
The Role:
The successful candidate will:
- Manage a diverse caseload of employment matters, including Employment Tribunal claims and day-to-day HR advisory work
- Advise employer clients on a wide range of issues including restructures, TUPE, disciplinary and grievance matters, redundancy processes and employee relations issues
- Support corporate and commercial teams on employment aspects of business transactions
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing commercially focused and practical advice
- Deliver client training and contribute to seminars, networking events and thought leadership initiatives
- Participate in business development activities and contribute to the continued growth of the employment practice
- Work closely with colleagues across multiple disciplines to deliver a seamless service to clients
About You:
Applications are welcomed from Solicitors, Associates or FCILEX professionals with:
- Between 2 and 6 years’ PQE in Employment Law
- Strong technical employment law knowledge
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A proactive and commercially focused approach to client service
- The ability to work independently whilst also contributing to a collaborative team environment
- An interest in business development and growing professional networks
