A leading claimant law firm is looking to appoint an experienced Clinical Negligence Senior Legal Assistant to join its growing team. This is a fully remote opportunity, although the successful candidate will be required to travel throughout the South Coast region to meet with clients when needed.
This is an excellent opportunity for a legal professional with strong clinical negligence experience to become involved in a varied caseload of complex and high-value matters. The role would suit someone who combines strong technical ability with genuine compassion and empathy, supporting clients through what are often some of the most difficult periods of their lives.
Working closely with the wider Clinical Negligence team, the successful candidate will assist in progressing cases from initial instruction through to settlement or litigation. Responsibilities will include taking client instructions, preparing witness statements and legal documentation, liaising with medical experts, counsel and insurers, conducting legal research, and ensuring key deadlines and court timetables are met.
The role will also involve attending conferences with counsel and experts, instructing medical professionals, taking liability and quantum statements, and supporting the ongoing management of a busy clinical negligence caseload using the firm’s case management systems.
The firm is keen to hear from qualified Solicitors, Legal Executives, or experienced Grade A or B Fee Earners with a proven background in Clinical Negligence. Applicants should have a strong understanding of litigation processes and the Civil Procedure Rules, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage sensitive matters with professionalism and care.
The successful candidate will be highly organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently within a remote environment, whilst remaining an effective and collaborative member of the wider team. A willingness to travel across the South Coast to meet clients is essential.
