An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Court of Protection Solicitor to join a well-established and highly regarded Somerset law firm.
Our client has built a strong reputation across the Southwest for providing high-quality legal services together with an approachable and client-focused service. The firm is particularly well known for its private client expertise and continues to grow its specialist Court of Protection offering.
The successful candidate will join a supportive and collaborative team advising clients on a broad range of Court of Protection and vulnerable client matters. The role will involve managing a varied caseload including:
- Deputyship applications
- Attorneyship matters
- Management of property and financial affairs
- Lasting Powers of Attorney
- Applications to the Court of Protection
- Advising vulnerable and elderly clients
- Working closely with families, medical professionals and care providers
The firm is seeking a solicitor with approximately 2 – 4 years’ PQE and previous experience within Court of Protection, Private Client or vulnerable client work. Candidates should be compassionate, organised and able to provide an exceptional level of client care whilst handling sensitive matters with empathy and professionalism.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, together with the ability to manage a varied caseload independently and work collaboratively as part of a close-knit team.
