A well-established and client-focused law firm is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Fee Earner to join its Multi-Track/Intermediate Track team.
The successful candidate will manage a caseload predominantly consisting of Intermediate Track Employer’s Liability, Public Liability and Road Traffic Accident matters, alongside some Multi-Track cases. The role will involve handling files from inception through to conclusion, including litigated matters, within a largely fixed-fee environment.
This opportunity would suit a confident litigator with practising rights who is commercially aware, technically strong, and capable of working to financial and time recording targets while delivering excellent client care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a caseload of approximately 70 files, primarily comprising Intermediate Track EL/PL and RTA matters, with some Multi-Track exposure.
- Conducting matters through both pre- and post-litigation stages.
- Drafting pleadings, witness statements, and instructions to counsel.
- Making effective use of the firm’s case management system to ensure accurate record-keeping and timely progression of files.
- Maintaining compliance with time recording and financial performance targets.
- Communicating professionally and confidently with clients, insurers, medical experts, counsel, and third-party solicitors.
- Identifying opportunities to maximise settlement outcomes and recoverable costs.
- Developing and maintaining professional relationships with medical experts and other stakeholders.
- Working collaboratively within the wider team and contributing to case discussions and strategy.
Candidate Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Proven experience handling claimant personal injury matters.
- Demonstrable experience managing a fixed-fee caseload effectively and efficiently.
- Experience handling Intermediate Track cases.
- Practising rights, or the ability to obtain them within a reasonable timeframe.
- Strong working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules and litigation processes.
- The ability to independently manage litigated matters.
- Strong negotiation and settlement skills.
- Commercial awareness, including an understanding of costs and billing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to manage competing deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
- A compassionate, empathetic, and client-focused approach.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and forward-thinking firm that places client care at the centre of everything it does.
