Are you a dedicated Private Client Solicitor looking for a new opportunity within a well-respected and long-standing firm? We are seeking someone to join the Private Client team of our client, with flexibility for hybrid working and the option to be based from any of their Cornwall offices.

The Role

As a Private Client Solicitor, you will:

  • Manage a varied caseload of private client work including Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Trusts, Estate Administration, Probate, and lifetime planning advice.

  • Advise clients on tax matters relating to estates and trusts.

  • Prepare and review legal documentation (Wills, LPAs, trust deeds, probate applications) with precision and care.

  • Meet with clients (in office and occasionally at their homes) to ensure compassionate, clear advice tailored to their needs.

  • Maintain regular client communication, offering guidance throughout complex and often emotional processes.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth case progression and high service standards.

  • Contribute to business development through referrals, networking, and building the reputation of the private client team.

What You’ll Need

  • Qualification as a Solicitor or equivalent (e.g. Chartered Legal Executive) with experience in private client work.

  • Strong technical knowledge of Wills, Trusts, Probate, LPAs, and Estate Administration.

  • An empathetic, client-focused approach, particularly when advising elderly or vulnerable clients.

  • Excellent drafting, communication, and organisational skills.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with flexibility for hybrid working.
