Our Client are proud of being a professional yet welcoming, collegiate firm, where they want their people to enjoy working together to achieve great results. As an ambitious, profitable and forward-thinking firm, you can expect to be provided with excellent training and development, in order to further your career in a stimulating and supportive environment.
We are seeking to recruit a confident, articulate and capable property Solicitor (4 yrs + PQE) on a part-time self-employed consultancy basis, to join the ambitious Equity Release team.
Working from your own home and covering a specific geographical area (or areas) of the UK, your role will focus on meeting with individuals in their homes, to provide legal advice on the terms and conditions of proposed equity release arrangements relating to their property or properties.
Supported by the Equity Release team based in the Exeter office, you will be provided with the details of clients to make contact and arrange meetings with, within a specified time period and be required to complete the necessary files to be returned to the team for completion.
Travelling to meet with a range of clients, you will need to have access to your own transport and hold a UK driving license. By covering a specific UK location or locations, you will need to efficiently manage your calendar to maximise client visits and in turn will be paid on an agreed ‘per case’ rate.
You will be given the tools you need in order to be successful in this highly mobile and flexible role, including a smartphone, and equipment for recording each meeting for security and verification purposes.
You will have already gained experience of property related matters – or have current experience and understanding of equity release – and may even have worked previously at a relatively senior level.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified and experienced Solicitor to work flexibly in a mobile role on a part-time basis, whilst maintaining a strongly client focussed role within a highly regarded and ambitious firm.
An excellent communicator, you will excel at gaining the confidence of the clients you are working with and handle their matters with empathy and sensitivity. A natural ‘people person’, you will possess the ability to develop immediate rapport with clients who may, at times, need careful guidance and support through the equity release process, and you will show a genuine trustworthiness and commitment to their care.
A qualified and registered Solicitor with experience of practicing in a property or equity release related field, you will be self-motivated, with an eye for detail, and a meticulous approach to your work. In return, you will be provided with the support you need to flourish in this highly autonomous legal role.
You will also enjoy a range of flexible benefits which, depending upon the level you join at, could include:
- Life Assurance
- Private Health Insurance
- Private Medical Insurance
- Discretionary bonus scheme
- 25 days annual leave, (or more at Partner level), all bank holidays plus your birthday off and an extra day at Christmas. Your holiday entitlement increases with length of service.
- Holiday Purchase Scheme
- Childcare Voucher Scheme
- Enhanced Maternity & Paternity Pay
- Free Legal Services to Staff: Including wills and conveyancing
- Medicash: Health care cash plan for employees
