We are seeking a Paralegal Apprentice to join the IP & IT team in the Exeter Office.
This is a full-time opportunity working 9am – 5.15pm Monday to Friday.
You will be working and training as a Paralegal Data Protection Apprentice in the busy IP & IT team in particular providing administration support to the Privacy Officer which will include;
- Creating assessments and document drafting
- Maintaining and updating various internal compliance documents including spreadsheets
- File maintenance and administration
- Recording various internal data protection procedures and requests
- Minute taking during meetings and calls
- Responding to enquiries (call handling)
- Printing and scanning
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, able to communicate at all levels, have a passion to learn and develop with good personal organisation skills.
Adaptability and flexibility are key, as you will be required to have a hands-on, proactive approach to daily administrative tasks within the team. You will need to be a team player, reliable, adaptable, conscientious, and able to work to instructions
You will require good academics including a minimum of 5 GCSEs including Maths & English at grade A – C and BTEC or A Levels – minimum UCAS points 260. Good ICT and proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook would be an advantage. You do not need to have previous experience in the field as full training will be provided.
You will be working towards your Paralegal CILEx level 3 qualification and will receive structured training from an external provider.
