Would you like a role that is fully supported by technology and a supportive team?
Do you want to work for an award-winning, fast-growing specialist family law firm?
Our client is widely regarded as one of the country’s leading family law practices, offering expertise and empathy to individuals and families in need of legal help.
Based in Southwest England they represent clients across the UK and internationally. They provide a comprehensive range of family law services covering separation, divorce, finances, children and contact, grandparents’ rights, domestic abuse, child abduction and care proceedings.
Our client’s expanding team includes over 40 lawyers and chartered executives with a combined expertise in divorce law, financial law and the more sensitive cases which enables them to provide the best family law service in the Southwest, and beyond.
Each year our client handles more than 2000 family law cases, helping families across the region to resolve problems in the least stressful way.
Day to day you will be working as part of the Divorce and Finance team, you will manage your own case load of legal aid and private work, maintain a watching brief over other lawyers’ files when they are on holiday, sick, or need support, ensure that diary dates are observed and deadlines met and of course meet all relevant quality and professional standards.
With significant technology investment you will carry out your role backed by good case management software and home working equipment. In addition to technology, you will be well supported by a whole business of family law specialists who know the challenges of a career in family law. That’s why wellbeing is at the core of our business.
Our client is wanting to attract a divorce and finance lawyer, but someone who can also do the children element of the case if needed (although that is not essential, just preferable). Someone who has a bit of a following, or if not, who has the character and drive to go out and get the work and attract their own clients – obviously backed up by our client’s marketing team.
3+ years PQE – Solicitor or Legal Exec. PQE is not essential, our client will consider anyone with the relevant experience. A knowledge of and a degree of commitment to legal aid would help because there is some legal aid work.
After 6 months hybrid working will be considered.
Our client offers WPA, Perkbox, name on the parking rota if needed, excellent training and supervision as well as career prospects. They are a friendly company and do all they can to be flexible and accommodating of their staff as they recognise that sometime life doesn’t go in a straight line! They genuinely offer that environment rather than just playing lip service to it.
In return our client is offering a highly competitive salary & benefits package.
