Our client is an exceptionally well-respected regional law firm with a passion for business, clients and the services they offer.
An exciting opportunity has presented itself for a Dispute Resolution Lawyer, capable of working throughout the whole range of litigation disputes to join our clients Disputes Team in Newton Abbot.
The role will be broad and varied, with the successful candidate carrying a mixed caseload of both litigious and non-contentious general civil/commercial matters for individuals and businesses.
Skill and Knowledge:
We are seeking someone who is keen to develop professional skills, expertise and experience in the area of dispute resolution. They should be aware of current issues and updates.
Our clients experienced litigators provide expertise in a wide range of disputes including, landlord and tenant matters, contract disputes, shareholder and director disputes and construction work. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate their knowledge in these areas and could be a qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or a practising lawyer with at least 3 years of running their own caseload with the majority of this being dispute resolution and have the same amount of experience in litigation matters.
The successful candidate must be professional, organised, competent, enthusiastic and ambitious. To work with other fee earners and seek advice and assistance whenever needed to develop knowledge and skills, and to improve ability.
There will be a requirement to provide a high-quality, effective, legal service on behalf of our client. There will be an expectation to promote and develop the firm and more specifically, the Dispute Resolution Team.
- Must be able to work effectively within a team, as well as efficiently running an individual caseload.
- Willingness to promote the firm and develop personal connections; to market the services of the department internally to the rest of the firm’s services as a whole externally.
- Need to have access to a vehicle for work use and be insured for work purposes. Although most of our clients offices could be a main base for the right candidate, there will be an expectation to attend the Newton Abbot office regularly as well as visit clients off-site or at other office locations.
